Well what a night, and afternoon too on Saturday, July 19, at the 20th anniversary of Nailsea & Backwell Beer & Cider Festival. It surpassed our wildest expectations. The rugby ground looked like a mini Glastonbury a real love-in, the brilliant beat (and at times heat) went on as the music was mostly nostalgic, the food fabulous and the alcohol flowed freely. It was a wonderful mix of ages, the weather stayed dry and if you missed it that was so sad, however, these superb photos (top) by Stuart Burgess capture the moment(s) in forever memories. In comparison the Nailsea People photos could have been captured on an old Brownie but we relished the event and give great big thanks to all who posed willingly or unknowingly! A special thanks to the organisers, supporters, sponsors and those manning the Pimms tent!! Former North Somerset MP Liam Fox and his mates was sad to miss the show for the first time in 20 years due to being abroad but all the other VIP notables were present...and were told celeb Mollie Pearce was there but we missed her...
