NAILSEA
PEOPLE
Why does Nina do this?
I love working with and supporting adult people of all ages and backgrounds to work through the things that are holding them back, in some way and preventing them from living the life they want. I see people as human beings first. Our bodies are the same. Our being and our minds, through varying life experiences and other factors, contribute to our differences. Same and Difference makes us all amazing, don’t you think?
The mind can drive you forwards, towards your goals and it can also keep you away from achieving your goals as well.
We humans are constantly evolving as we move through our lives, from one life stage and experience to another – what a life journey we’re all on! Sometimes our minds continue with an old pattern of thinking which sits outside of our awareness. We can experience resistance within ourselves even though, consciously, we want to think differently, embrace a new life stage or desire to make a change. It can feel like inner conflict. Does this resonate with you?
Staying stuck when the desire for some kind of change is present can feel like internal chaos and we can feel it in our bodies too. I love walking alongside and helping people move from chaos to clarity and I’d love to bring my skills to Nailsea, my home for nearly 28 years. So, I am exploring how I might serve the local community and surrounding areas with the heart, mind and skills that I have developed over the years.
What does Nina actually do?
I help people to raise their self-awareness, to generate choice for themselves and develop the motivation to take at least one step forwards from where they’re at - through my love of coaching.
I have been running my own coaching practice since January 2018 with non-judgement, sensitivity, warmth, deep listening skills and an unwavering belief in my client’s potential to move forwards.
Supporting people
As an experienced coach with well over 1,000 hours of one-to-one coaching, I support clients in a variety of ways, broadly within these three areas:
-
Career coaching - I wonder if you are currently on sick leave or struggling at work and you are feeling stuck, in need of exploring your options? You may be returning to work, facing difficult workplace relationships, considering leaving or staying in your current role, seeking a change in direction, preparing for interviews, trying to build confidence and improve your communication skills.
-
Mindset coaching – I wonder if you are sensing that you may have beliefs that could be holding you back in some way and you’re finding it hard to make a change, develop new habits or new strategies to help yourself move forwards? This could be in a variety of life situations. For example, I support people following a chronic health condition diagnosis. Perhaps you’ve been struggling adjusting to a new way of living? You may be feeling fearful, perhaps finding it hard to adjust and cope well with your limitations? Taking a fresh look at your mindset and thinking differently could really help. Please know that my scope of practice does not cover any medical advice and I will always sign post you to your medical professionals, if needed.
-
Life coaching – I wonder if you are feeling stuck in the current rhythm of your life and you can’t quite put your finger on it? You might find it useful to explore the different areas of your life and consider possibilities and options on how you could improve your life rhythm and move forwards. For some people, coaching may be helpful following a period of specialised therapeutic support or following an unplanned life change when moving into action with accountability could be the catalyst required.

How to book a chat with Nina
How does Nina do this?
I have undergone extensive training in a variety of coaching approaches and developed my skillset over many years of practice. I hold four professional memberships (and uphold all of their ethics) with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC), Global Association of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (ANLP), Institute of Leadership (IoL) and the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). I am also a Mental Health First Aider with an active refresher certification from MHFA England.
To keep my professional skills up to date, I regularly engage in one to one and group supervision as well as maintain continuous professional development. I have coached in businesses of varying sizes and at all levels as well as one to one private coaching, for a variety of client needs, including wellbeing and mental health support signposting.
I work face to face in my local coaching room or on a local walk with a flask of tea/coffee with regular park bench pauses. I also work online using the zoom platform. In whichever way suits you, its interactive and gets you thinking differently from a position of choice and possibility. I am flexible in tailoring a coaching programme to meet your needs - either per session or I can offer a block booking of 3 or 6 sessions. Each session lasts 90 minutes.
