Nailsea has a new unisex Pilates studio called Reset which opened this June in Colliers Walk.
The independent business is the brainchild of former Nailsea School student Marianne Colio.
Mari supplied us with a few details:
Background

Grew up in Nailsea and attended local school.

Completed a teaching degree at university.
-
Moved from Cardiff to Bristol and worked in child protection for the past seven years.
-
Returned to Nailsea within the last year after missing the town, its strong sense of community, and the beautiful local surroundings.
Qualifications
-
Level 3 qualified Mat Pilates Instructor.

Level 3 qualified Reformer Pilates Instructor.

Currently completing a Level 3 Pre & Postnatal Pilates qualification.

Planning to offer specialist pre and postnatal Pilates classes for expectant and new mothers.

Excited to put down roots in Nailsea again and create a positive, welcoming community through Reset Pilates.
Mari who is 29 years old and her partner Lewis who is also from Nailsea have lived together for more than a decade and now share their home with Nelly, a beautiful golden reformer, on the new housing estate off Engine Lane.
Pilates is a mind-body exercise which in the early 20th century was developed and named after German physical trainer Joseph Pilate.
Pilates is practiced worldwide, especially in Western countries as a culture of exercising to alleviate ill health.
The former retail unit at Crown Glass Shopping Centre was transformed into a state-of-the-art studio over several weeks while shoppers walking passed view through the windows to watch progress.
